Email Marketing - Include Multiple Links in Your Teaser Email to Get Maximum Click-Throughs

Author: Francis Lui

Including multiple links in your teaser email is a good way to get more click-throughs to the landing page. If you're only including one link, you may be leaving traffic on the table. But how do you include multiple links in your teaser email?

First, you can include a link to your landing page at the end of the first paragraph or two. A lot of Internet users only briefly check their emails. When they have dozens or hundreds of unread emails in their inbox, it would take too much time to read each of them individually.

Since they will only spend a few seconds reading your email, they'll likely only read the first paragraph or two. So they won't make it to the end of your email and click on the link. A simple solution is to include a link at the end of the first paragraph or two.

But there are some of your readers who will take the time to read your email. For these types of readers, you can include another link at the closing of your email.

Including a P.S. at the end of your email is a good idea because the P.S. section tends to get read. This is a section where you can persuade your reader further to click-through to the landing page. You might do this by including an extra benefit or maybe include a time-limited offer to add urgency.

Then after the P.S., you include a link to your landing page. This extra link should increase your click-through rate.
